Phil Hughes shut down the bats in the 8th and lowered his bullpen e.r.a to a nasty 0.81. Bruney came in for the 9th and game up not 1, but 2 2-out solo shots to Adam Jones and Markakis...musta had K-Rod in the back of his mind...This of course set the stage for Mo to shut the door and convert his 28th save of the year.
As far as the offense was concerned...Posada hit his 12th bomb of the year and Swishalicious pitched in 2 RBIs of his own..not to mention 2 nice plays in the outfield..Describing his day in right..Swisher said "if i could describe it as an ice cream flavor..it'd be rocky road." How could you not love this guy?
