Hide your beagle...Vick's an Eagle!

Let the comeback commence....
I fully expected Vick to be signed...but I did NOT expect the E.A.G.L.E.S to be the team that took him on....
Vick's signed a deal for $1.6 million that has a option for a second year at $5.2 million...kinda steep for a man that can't play until the sixth game of the regular season....$5.2 million's also not all that bad of a number for a backup quarterback with baggage....
Is this a move that was done to keep McNabb on his toes? It feels like each season that either the backup plays well when #5 goes down....leading to questions of whether it's time have a changing of the guard at the QB reign for Philly....or McNabb has a bad string of games ...leading to questions of whether it's time to have a changing of the guard at the QB reign for Philly.....
What happens when McNabb struggles in the slightest around week 7 or so? If the team doesn't play up to it's championship-caliber potential will we be seeing Vick taking the snaps as well as a possible end of an era for McNabb?
For now, he will only be the backup....but that will not stop the media circus that is going to come with this whole attempt of resurrecting a career....Eagles fans already appear very divided with their take on the situation...they are either elated at the fact of possibly seeing that wildcat offense...or devastated that they just signed a man who recenty just got released from prison...
Vick finally got the chance that I feel he did deserve at some point or another....Hey, it's America right? For this to be successful, however, he needs to watch his mouth and keep his head on straight...There is absolutely NO room for fault... (this means no stupid immature youtube videos from Young Jeezy concerts) If he truly shows that his past is his past...the flocks of animal rights activists that are sure to be parading signs around the stadium will slowly dwindle...but it's really all up to Michael. He needs to retain each and every word that comes out of the mouth of his mentor, Tony Dungy and just focus solely on regaining the form that he once had...which made him one of the most explosive players the NFL has ever seen!
The media frenzy that is going to surround this man is going to be nothing short of extraordinary to watch..We have literally, in the sports world, never seen a man or woman try to come back into any game of sport after committing such an act. Andy Reid is literally putting his neck out on the line with this signing....is this going to be like the signing of T.O that could destroy his team chemistry...or it could be the missing link to get Philly a Super Bowl ring? This truly has the potential to be one of the best comeback stories of all time...but again..it's up to Michael Vick
kudos to my buddy Ev for the title of this piece...solid
