JA's G-Men Wrap-Up: Osi scalps the Skins

Plax who?
With the help of the Giants fierce D and the returning "AWOL" Osi Umenyiora, the G-Men took down the Redskins by a score of 23-17...
Eli's offensive unit looked efficient with Eli going 20-29 with 256 yards passing....BJ could have looked much better only going for 46 yards off of 16 carries...I fully expect him, however, to step his game up in Big D this Sunday Night...The mystery of who is going to be the #1 receiver is still anybody's guess....but if Steve Smith has another game like he did last week i'll be ready to decare him the team's go-to guy...Smith had 80 yards on 6 catches...times that by 16 and you've got 96 catches for 1280 yards....wishful thinking? you betchya, but hey...it could happen..
It's looking like Mario Manningham is going to get his shot this year and even caught a TD pass...the first of his career...He had more yards last week than he did all of last season...Another key component to this offense is going to be Kevin Boss...dare I say the wild card? He had 62 yards last week and will get more than his share of looks from Eli.....Someone who won't be in the fold for a couple weeks is rookie Hakeem Nicks who injured his hamstring shortly after making his NFL debut...
As far as the D goes....stellar....didn't give up a touchdown until the 1:30 mark in the fourth...I'll consider Hunter Smith's run-in after the fake FG attempt an "excuse-me" status (total BS play)...The biggest play of the day on D came in the second when Osi knocked the ball out of Jason Campbell's hand and took the ball 37 yards to the house....This defense will be the rock of this team and in the class of the league's best....
My only concern going into Dallas was the lack of Red Zone Production (0-3)....If the G-Men plan on taking it to Dallas....they're gonna have to punch it in once the get within the 20 yard line...are you listening Brandon? If they can execute...they have Tampa Bay, KC and Oakland waiting in the wings....
Can you say 5-0?
