Shaun White steals the show...again

After scoring a 46.8 out of 50 in his first run, Shaun White already had the Gold all but wrapped up...despite not breaking out any of his big moves...

Never fear...despite not having the necessary air to complete such a move...White hit a double McTwist 1260 to send the crowd home happy...that would be a forward rotation of 3 and a half twists with a front flip...unbelivable!

The man who actually hates being called "The Flying Tomato", is right up there with Michael Phelps as the standard of excellence for American Olympians and the scary thing is that he's just getting started...
It must have been that pep talk I gave him......
Back in November, I had the chance to produce an interview segment with Shaun for 1050 ESPN Radio with my good friend, Ray Carsillo...Shaun discusses his newest video game "Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage" for the Nintendo Wii...Yours truly is behind the camera...This is a very chill and candid interview so I encourage you all to check it out!

US vs Canada for the gold? Bank on it!

Behind 2 goals from my boy, Devils star Zach Parise..Team USA was able to fight off a very gutsy Swiss team to advance to the Semis with a 2-0 victory yesterday...

Despite the hostile Canadian crowd, Team USA stuck with the game plan despite going into the 3rd period locked into a scoreless tie..

How good has Ryan Miller looked in between the pipes? the Sabres goaltender has only given up 5 goals in the 4 Team USA victories during these Olympics...absolutely dirty

I think it's safe to say that were shocking the Hockey world who thought we were not better than the powerful Russians and Canadians...The Fins will be a tough matchup, but if this team continues to show the heart they have they will be in the Gold Medal game without a doubt...

If last night's 7-3 rout of Alex Ovechkin and the Russians is any indication, Team Canada will be joining the Americans in the Gold Medal game...

You think these guys weren't playing angry...

They made a bold move by moving Marty Brodeur to the bench in favor of Vancouver's own Roberto Luongo...but the move did not disappoint..

Canada jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead within the first 13 minutes of the game and never looked back...This game, to me, seemed like a much more violent version of the All-Star game with how many times these guys lit up the lamp...Now the once favored Russians find themselves unable to even place for a medal...

If these titans meet again, the atmosphere will undoubtedly be nothing short of electric and the atmosphere alone will make this game nothing short of a classic...

Upset special in Vancouver!

Perhaps its time for Canadians to find a new national pastime...

In a wild upset, Team USA took down Canada last night 5-3 right in Canada's own backyard...

As hard as it was for me to watch Martin Brodeur get lit up like a Christmas tree, watching Ryan Kesler somehow score that empty netter at the end of the game was that much sweeter...Hands down, that was the sickest empty net goal I have ever seen...Somewhere Alex Ovechkin was giving him a standing O....

For Devil Brian Rafalski had himself quite the game as well with 2 goals and an assist...Chris Drury may have scored more goals last night than he will for the Rangers for the remainder of the season...

This was easily the biggest win for Team USA since the "Miracle on Ice" 30 years ago...I personally felt going in that we were the 3rd best team in these Olympics behind Canada and the Russians, but this team is showing true grit and play like this will have them smelling Gold by the end of the week...
In the meantime, Doc Emrick has a chance to regain his voice...you know a game is off the charts when he's hoarse by game's end...Lets go USA!
