Gary Sheffield sat out his fourth straight game last night with a cramp in his hammy.
Jerry Manuel said in a pre-game news conference that if the situation didn't progress by friday that Shef would be the placed on the DL..raising the staggering number of Mets on the DL to 10!
What got me, however, was the reason given for the continuous cramping...it was said that it is due to a lack of electrolyte imbalance...lack of electrolytes?? give the man a gatorade!!
Ya gotta love the way the Mets brass handle their injured players...
