The franchise is leavin San Diego...and Philly

After 9 Hall of Fame seasons, the greatest player to ever wear the lightning bolt on his helmet is the odd man out in San Diego...

Due a $2 million dollar bonus in March, the Chargers cut LT after a injury-riddled 2008 and the lowest rushing totals of his career last season...

LT made Charger fans forget all about Ryan Leaf and he currently eighth on the all-time rushing list and 2nd all time in rushing touchdowns...Not a bad resume for a man who is 2 years removed from back to back rushing titles...and he's still only 30..

Are his best years behind him? Absolutely...but he is still more than capable of 3 or 4 more solid seasons as a quality RB...Hopefully, LT can finally get on a team that doesn't choke in the Championship game...I guess he better not go to.....

Couldn't help myself....For the second time in as many years, the Eagles released yet another franchise player..
The Eagles cut their all-time leader of yards from scrimmage, 2-time Pro Bowler Brian Westbrook..Westbrook, also 30, spent 8 seasons in Philly and has suffered through several injuries over the years..including serious concussion problems...Due over 7 million next season, it was easy for Andy Reid to christen in the LeSean McCoy era in Philly..
I'm glad to see him leave town because he was a Giant killer, but he was a phenomenal player and I sadly think it's going to be much harder for Westbrook to find a job with all of his health concerns..His career is most likely over..
