After a week of question surrounding Eli and his plantar fascilitis, it took a mere half of football to answer whether Manning was healthy enough to make his 83rd consecutive start...
With a perfect QB rating, Eli Manning threw 2 TD's and passed for 173 yards in a 44-7 rout of the Raiders....
Ahmad Bradshaw ran all over the D with 110 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns (that both came in the 1st quarter) to go along with a 55-yd catch...
It was nice to see David Carr "get to play with the toys" as i'm sure it was weird for him to actually have time to throw the ball...Even throwing in a nice 12 yd rushing TD...In my opinion, Carr is easily one of, if not the best backup qb in football...
This game reminded me of a varsity team playing the freshman...The Raiders didn't have a first down until the 7:18 mark of the second quarter. With 3 lost fumbles, JaMarcus Russell is proving to me , week in and week out, that he is the absolute WORST quarterback in the NFL...how in the world can you give the job to Russell and cut a proven commodity like Jeff Garcia? Oh yea, this guy was supposed to be the savior of the franchise and was signed to an absurd 6 yr/68mil contract with $31.5 guaranteed...When he was holding out, Al Davis should have said screw him. I forgot, Al Davis lost his mind years ago....Pierce said this game was like a scrimmage, he couldn't have done a better job of hitting the nail on the head...
The G-Men are 5-0 and off to their best start since 1990, a Super-Bowl winning season..Next week won't be a scrimmage, however. The schedule picks up with a trip to New Orleans to play the undefeated Saints...a team that has shared the conversation of "best team in the NFC" with the Giants...The easy part of the schedule is over, now it's time for big blue to prove they are the class of the NFC...and the NFL...
